Facing our risk (FORCE) recently featured our research on ‘social media for carriers of hereditary cancer syndromes’ on their blog.
We analysed 1000s of pubic social media posts that mentions BRCA or Lynch syndrome and conducted interviews with 58 mutation carriers who share content about hereditary cancer on social media.
In the post, we summarise our findings and recommendations for navigating social media for carriers, healthcare professionals and social media platforms.
